EventsSacred Circle hosts a variety of events throughout the year. Each event is designed to bring together Deaf and hard of hearing Indigenous peoples from different tribes and nations. We create spaces where everyone can feel welcome and included. Our events focus on cultural sharing, spiritual growth, education, and community building. We believe that gathering together strengthens our bonds and helps us preserve our traditions for future generations. All events are fully accessible with ASL interpreters and other accommodations as needed. Annual GatheringsOur main annual gathering takes place in a different location each year. We have held gatherings in Colorado Springs, Smoky Mountain, North Carolina, and Australia. These events include workshops, traditional ceremonies, guest speakers, and plenty of time for connecting with old friends and making new ones. Spiritual RetreatsOur spiritual retreats offer a chance to step away from daily life and focus on inner healing and connection. These retreats include prayer, meditation, talking circles, and traditional ceremonies led by our elders. Past retreats have been held in Niagara Falls and Ketchikan, Alaska. WorkshopsWe offer workshops on a variety of topics including Native language preservation, traditional arts and crafts, advocacy skills, and wellness practices. These workshops are led by community members and experts who share their knowledge and experience. Pow Wow and Health FairsWe partner with other Native organizations to host pow wows and health fairs. These events celebrate our culture through dance, music, and art. Health fairs provide important information and services to our community members. Native ConferencesOur conferences bring together leaders and community members to discuss important issues facing Deaf Indigenous peoples. Topics include education, employment, healthcare access, and cultural preservation. We work together to find solutions and build a stronger future. |
